| If the number of US residents or the amount of funds on deposit does exceed the limit then the US government or the IRS have the right to inspect the bank records as a result of International Agreements between the various countries and/or financial institutions. As a result, most overseas financial institutions receiving requests for information from US citizens, return the letters unopened, and often the letters never even leave the country as the US Postal Service is aware of many of the addresses that are forbidden. If you write for anything financial information, from Canada and you appear to be a Canadian, the information is not withheld or looked at or stopped at the border. When the information arrives here, we will put the letter into another envelope and mail it to you First Class - Airmail and the US government and the sender will be none the wiser. You can open Foreign Bank Accounts this way and conduct such business in a private manner. A good number of our clients have a Foreign Bank Account in approximately ten different countries. | |
